Ceramic sand

Ceramic sand, also known as fracturing proppant, is a new type of material that uses bauxite, manganese powder and admixture as raw materials, which are crushed, dried, compounded, balled, calcined, cooled and sieved.Ceramsite sand has the advantages of high strength, wear resistance, high roundness, shock resistance and good permeability resistance.

Ceramic sand production process

The bauxite with particle size of 300-500mm is crushed, sent to a dryer for drying, and then batched with manganese powder, admixture, etc., then enter into the grinding system to grind fine powder of 400 mesh or more , after adding water, the raw meal powder is made into pellets with acceptable particle size which using our new-type ceramic sand granulator.

The pellet enters the dryer set at the end of the kiln, uses the waste heat of the kiln exhaust gas to reduce the moisture of the pellet, and then passes through the sieve to enter the rotary kiln for calcination. The calcined ceramsite sand is cooled by a cooling machine and sieved through a rotary trommel screen. The qualified different particle sizes are packaged and shipped, and the unqualified pellets are returned to the grinding system.

Available heating source

The fuel for the rotary kiln can be gas, fuel or other solid fuel.
