Lime rotary kiln is mainly used for calcining lime and dolomite. when using rotary lime kiln, since temperature is a very important factor, it directly affects energy consumption, the quality and capacity of the finished product, so the temperature need to be detected and controlled. This article mainly introduces three temperature control methods to help users adjust the temperature of the lime rotary kiln.
1.Manual control of temperature
Manually controlled temperature is the earliest method of temperature control. The kiln temperature is determined by experienced operators through various meter readings of the active lime rotary kiln. The temperature of the flame is observed by looking at the flame mirror to estimate the temperature of the firing zone, or the temperature of the kiln exhaust gas is determined by the meter,Thereby adjusting and controlling the kiln temperature. This method is not very accurate, human error may occur in the operation.

Contact automatic temperature measurement control
Contact automatic temperature measurement is a traditional method. The position to be measured on the axis of the active lime rotary kiln is inserted into the temperature sensing element in the radial direction to directly measure the temperature. The electrical signal passes through the slip ring fixed on the kiln body and outside. The brush system is extracted, the slip ring and the brush system are specially designed to adapt to the rotation of the kiln. The advantage of this method is that the measurement signal can directly and truly reflect the temperature in the kiln, and simple and lower investment. However, there may be cases where the lead signal is not good and the contact is poor.
3.Non-contact automatic temperature measurement control
The automatic temperature measurement technology can measure the surface temperature of the kiln body through a non-contact thermometer, a kiln temperature scanning measurement system, etc., and take the measurement signal to the computer through the measuring device, and then analyze the temperature in the kiln through software. It is also possible to utilize a state recognition system for burning flame image features, that is, obtaining a flame image by a visual inspection system for preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction and recognition, and indirectly obtaining the temperature of the rotary kiln, which is a relatively advanced temperature measurement method, but currently The method is still unable to control the complex conditions such as large smoke dust and low visibility in the kiln.
