1. Project profile

The customer company engaged in mining copper, pliers, lead zinc and other metal mining projects;  It has obtained mining and exploration rights of a number of gold and copper mining projects in Uganda, Mali and Congo in Africa, and the exploitation rights of copper mining projects.  This project is a gold mine project in Uganda. According to the process requirements of gold refining, lime is an essential raw material in the gold refining process.

2. Project description

Because this gold mine has just begun to be developed, the capacity is not very large.  Customers have been buying the lime needed in the gold refining process from others.  However, due to the shortage of lime in the Ugandan market, the supply of lime is unstable, the purchase cost is rising and the quality is not guaranteed.  Based on all those factors, the customer decided to build his own lime line.  Some of the lime produced is used in own gold refining and some is sold on the market.  The whole project consists of three sections. The first section is limestone crushing, the second section is limestone calcination, and the third section is lime grinding.

 

3. Equipment parameter

For the whole project of the client, our company is mainly responsible for the limestone calcination section.  Considering the situation of the customer, our lime engineers designed the production process of vertical kiln lime with the output of 50 tons per day for the customer.  For output of 50 tons per day of lime shaft kiln, effective inner diameter is 2.65 meters, effective height is 13.5 meters.  The front section is equipped with limestone and fuel mixture charging device.
