1. Project profile

The company, Vietnam Rare Earth Co., Ltd, which mainly deal with rare earth mines. The main process of the company is that, first grind the bulk rare earth mines to powder which required by customer, and then enter into rotary kiln to calcine. The customer has purchased a set of wet ball mill grinding system from our company before, and the wet ball mill grinding system has been put into production on customer’s site, and it is in good operation. After a period of production, because the quality of the finished product meet the market demand very well, so the customer’s existing production output can not reach the market demand. According to market demand, the customer needs to add a new ball mill grinding system.

2. Project description

Due to we have good cooperation experience with the customer, so when we meet the customer’s new purchasing requirements, we have a certain understanding of the customer’s materials and working conditions. In the face of customer’s new procurement needs, our company quickly communicated with customer, and after know every well the specific new needs of customer, our company put forward the process plan and process flow, And then according to customer’s suggestions, we rectify the details of flow chart, to meet the needs of the customer. After about three months, our technical engineers and customer repeatedly discuss, finally determine the flow chart process and model of equipment, and make sure the details technical parameter of ball mill, such as dealing capacity, diameter, length, grinding way and liner material, and match with pulse bag filter. And also make sure the technical parameter of pulse bag filter and fan. In order to ensure the safety of the production process, our company provides explosion-proof motor for the ball mill to ensure the safety of customers' on-site production. 

3. Equipment parameter

The dealing capacity of ball mill is 3 tons per hour, the input size of rare earth mine is 20mm, and discharge size of final product is 100 mesh. The diameter of the dry ball mill is 1200mm, the length is 2400mm. Considering the characteristics of rare earth mine, we use liner with material wear-resistant high manganese steel. According to the number of dust point on site, the distance of each dust point, the air volume and the resistance filter, the pulse bag filter finally use model PPC32-3, and the matching fan with air volume 6900m³/h, the process air speed 1.2--2.0m/min. According to the characteristic of customer’s rare earth mine, our technical engineer have made the following improvements of equipment:

(1) The liner of ball mill use wear-resistant high manganese steel.

(2) The ball mill motor use explosion-proof.

(3) Explosion-proof star type discharge device for pulse bag filter.
