Fluorite is the main source of fluorine which is widely used in spaceflight industry, refrigeration industry, medicine industry, anti-corrosion industry, fire extinction industry, electron industry, machinery industry, atomic energy industry and so on. It is important mineral material in modern industry and many developed countries reserve it as important strategic material. The exploration value of fluorite is high. Whereas the fluorite ore has to be processed by crushing, grinding and flotation to get the concentrate, and then could be used in various industries. To upgrade the grade of fluorine, the process is as below.
1. Crushing process. The raw ore comes to the jaw crusher for coarse crushing, then conveyed to the fine crusher for secondary crushing to get the required size of ore.
2. Grinding process. The crushed ore would come to the ball mill by electromagnetic vibrating feeder. The fineness of ore is important in the flotation process. The flotation granularity limit of different substance is different. For example, the sulfide mineral is usually 0.2-- 0.25mm, non-sulfide mineral is 0.25 -- 0.3mm. So it’s not good effect if too coarse or too fine grinding.
3. Grading. After grinding, the qualified fineness of ore would flow to the spiral classifier for grading. The ore mixture is washed and graded on the principle that different gravity of solid particle has different settling velocity.
4. Mixing and flotation process. The ore after grading would come to the mixing tank for mixing with medicines. Add different medicines according to different features of mineral substance, this would separate the required mineral substance with others. The medicine and proportion are important to get the qualified ore concentrate. And we are expert and could give you professional suggestion.
After completely mixing with medicine in mixing tank, the ore pulp would flow to the flotation machine for primary separation, concentration and scavenging to get the qualified wet ore concentration.
5. Concentration and drying. The ore pulp would flow to the thickener for dewatering. To save cost, you could also build sedimentation tank. Using the filter press could reduce the moisture of the wet ore concentration to below 40% and then come to the dryer to get the dry powder of concentration.
