Classification and performance characteristics of ceramsite:

1 Sludge ceramsite

It is mainly divided into two categories: biological sludge ceramsite and river-bottom mud ceramsite. Biological sludge as the main raw material, is disposing of drying, grinding, granulation, roasting of the ceramic, known as bio-sludge ceramic particles. 2 Clay ceramsite

It is known as clay ceramic that a certain fineness of the clay, mixed with the right amount of admixture, by mixing into pellets, after the expansion of drying, high temperature baking from the particle size of 5 mm or more.

3 Fly ash ceramsite

It is used solid waste of fly ash as the main raw material, adding a certain amount of cement and water, processed into pellets, sintering expansion or natural conservation to particle size of below 10mm called fly ash ceramsite. It is widely used in construction, highway, railway, bridge, drilling platform and underground engineering and other fields, can also be used for fire-resistant insulation, chemical, oil, sewage treatment, gardening and so on. It has the advantages of light weight, high strength, thermal insulation, frost resistance, anti-acid and alkali corrosion and good seismic performance.
