1. DC motor. The DC motor has a wide range of speed regulation, which can realize smooth speed regulation, stable starting, good starting performance and automatic operation of rotary kiln. The DC motor adopts magnetic speed regulation below the basic speed. At this time, it is constant power speed regulation, which can obtain a large starting torque at low speeds. Above the basic speed, voltage regulation speed and constant torque speed regulation are used.

2. AC variable frequency motor. Adopting variable frequency speed regulation has been widely adopted in recent years. Special frequency conversion motors for rotary kiln can meet the requirements of the starting characteristics of rotary kiln, but ordinary frequency conversion motors should consider a large power span, speed range can reach 1:10, constant torque speed regulation below 50Hz, constant power regulation above 50Hz In this case, in order to ensure that the torque output by the motor is unchanged, the power of the motor needs to be increased accordingly.

3. AC electromagnetic speed-regulating motor. Can achieve a smooth stepless speed regulation of 1:10. The efficiency of this kind of motor is low, especially at low speed, the starting performance is poor, and more power margin must be added. It is only occasionally applied to small-sized rotary kiln.
