The rotary kiln is the thermal equipment to heat bulk or slurry material and is widely used in metallurgy industry, building materials industry, chemical industry, refractory material industry, ceramic sand industry, paper industry and other industries. Rotary kiln shell is the most important equipment in the rotary kiln. Movement of rotary kiln shell is the common trouble for the rotary kiln.
The rotary kiln shell is installed on the support roller with the horizontal 3.2%-5% to the level, and shell bending and support roller uneven wear happened due to the different foundation settlement after long-term operation. Especially, the change of friction factor between kiln tyre and support roller contact surface, it is associated with the kiln shell speed, temperature, surface where is whether oil, water, ash or not, and the degree of friction. These factors are is constantly changing in the operation, even if rotary kiln is adjusted, while the operation it will be up and down.
If kiln shell in operation is in a limited range of movement sometimes, to maintain a relatively stable, it is a normal phenomenon, which can prevent the concentrated wear of kiln tyre and support roller. If kiln shell moves only in one direction for a longer period, it is not normal and must be adjusted.
In order to judge the direction of the center line of the support roller quickly and correctly, the technical personnel of ZK who have many years practical experience have created a lot of specific directions to determine the adjustment direction of the roller.
1. Adjustment method of support roller.
(1)Changing friction factor. The support roller surface is coated or poured different viscosity lubricant usually to change the friction factor of support roller and kiln tyre, and to control the movement of the kiln body.
In general, applying the consistency of lubricant in the kiln tyre and support roller on the surface, the kiln body can move upward. On the contrary, applying a thin lubricant can make the kiln body downward.
(2)Skewing support roller axis
The skew direction of the support roller can be determined according to the gap between the retaining ring and the bearing pad of the support roller shaft. The gap is at the hot end and kiln tyre and shell should be pushed to the cold end to balance the sliding force of the shell to the hot end.
2. Adjusting the angle of support roller should observe the following principles.
(1) When adjusting support roller, it should guarantee that the adjusted support roller to be parallel to kiln shell centerline, and then adjust.
In order to maintain the meshing clearance of big ring gear and small gear, it should not adjust the support roller near the ring gear.
(2) When adjusting support roller, make sure the same skew direction of the adjusted support rollers, do not allow the existence of the sizes character shape. When pushing up the kiln, it should add the inclination of support roller, and when dropping down the kiln, it should narrow the inclination of support roller. The rotary kiln tyre should swim slowly between the upper and lower thrust rollers, and should not always be in contact with one of the thrust rollers.
(3) In the rotary kiln empty load operation without bricking firebrick, it should be adjusted the position of support rollers.
