Project Background
As a by-product of the oil refining process, petroleum coke is widely used, especially in carbon materials, electrolytic aluminum and other industries. However, different uses have strict requirements on the particle size of petroleum coke. Therefore, accurate screening and grading have become an important step to increase the added value of petroleum coke. This project is located in Lanzhou, Gansu. It aims to achieve effective screening and accurate grading of petroleum coke by introducing advanced drum screen equipment to meet the needs of downstream industries.
Equipment Introduction
The GS1660 drum screen used in the project is a stand-alone device specially customized for the characteristics of petroleum coke. Its core components include feed port, high-performance motor, stable reducer, sturdy frame, φ1.6×6m drum device, sealing cover and lower hopper, etc. The equipment has a designed production capacity of 15-18 tons/hour, which can meet the needs of petroleum coke processing on medium and large production lines.
Working Principle
The core working principle of the drum screen lies in its tilted drum device, which is driven by a reducer to rotate the drum. After the petroleum coke to be screened enters the drum from the feed port, it gradually moves to the tail as the drum rotates. In this process, fine particles smaller than the size of the sieve hole are directly discharged through the screen, while larger particles move to the lower end along the surface of the drum and are discharged through a specific discharge port to achieve material classification.
